Oakshade, Market Avenue

Oakshade is well placed on the East side of the city, on Market Avenue close to the Market. Opposite the house can be seen part of the historic city walls, which date back to the time of the Romans. A short walk past the market leads onto East Street, which is the main shopping street and contains the major banks and building societies, Marks & Spencer, Boots, etc. Find Oakshade on Map

With space to park several cars at the front, the house has a quiet, well-sheltered and sunny garden to the rear. A large residents' lounge cum sun-room opens on to this rear garden, while the dining room is at the front; a lift gives access to the first floor. There are ten rooms in all, each with en-suite bathroom, central heating, TV and telephone points. Each room is connected to a central alarm system, and each resident has a pendant or wrist-band for emergency use. Two of the ten are especially spacious suites, one on each floor, each consisting of a separate good sized sitting room, bedroom and bathroom.
